The Free Medical Clinic of Darlington County has two locations: 203 Grove Street, Darlington, SC 29532 and 500 West Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, SC 29550
How do we fill the medical needs of our patients? On a typical night, each clinic operates with the services of: two to three physicians or nurse practitioners, four registered nurses, one licensed pharmacist, five administrative volunteers, three staff members and an individual or group who provides a meal. During the remainder of the week, a total of four full time and one part-time staff members from both offices handle the paperwork and scheduling to follow up patient care after a clinic night. Dedicated volunteers make the doctor, nurse, pharmacist, clerical and meal schedules every quarter along with medication assistance program paperwork, pharmacy and office tasks.
Office Hours for both clinic sites: 9AM-12:30PM, 2PM-5PM, Monday and Wednesday, 2PM-8PM on Tuesday and Thursday, Fridays 3PM-4PM for medicine pick up. Prospective patients are interviewed from 2PM-4PM Monday and Wednesday by volunteers who review their household information and verify that they qualify for our services. Clinic appointments begin at 4 PM on Tuesday and Thursday in Darlington and Hartsville. Medicines may be picked up during regular office hours.
